"Remember that note..."
That’s how Cut Out Heroes’ songs are born—through spontaneous sparks of creativity in the middle of practice sessions or between songs. What starts as a random chord strum or riff often evolves into a full-fledged instrumental piece, driven by a shared love for melodic storytelling.

Formed with no clear genre in mind, the band naturally gravitated toward instrumental soundscapes that explore mood and emotion. Though often associated with the post-rock genre, Cut Out Heroes never set out to fit a label. Each member brings their own musical influences to the table, resulting in a unique blend of sounds that flow seamlessly together—built on freedom, experimentation, and connection.

Inspired by bands such as Russian Circles, If These Trees Could Talk, Toe, Cloudkicker, and Thrice, Cut Out Heroes craft instrumental pieces that rise, swell, and evolve—driven by texture, dynamics, and atmosphere rather than words.

In 2015, the band was honoured to be featured in the Sterling by Music Man catalogue, with members Khai and Rasis showcasing the SUB Silo 3 series from the SUB line. They were also spotlighted as one of the "Breaking Bands" on Coventry’s Hit1FM online radio show.

Beyond their home in Singapore, Cut Out Heroes have taken their sound abroad, performing a show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and continuing to carve out their place in the regional music scene.

Whether you call it post-rock or simply sonic storytelling, Cut Out Heroes invite you to join them on a journey—one note at a time.
